Principle Statements
The Great Lakes Agricultural Fair enhances the “Quality of Life” for all citizens throughout the region and offers a wide venue of activities to meet and exceed expectations.
The Fair builds upon the root-strength of agriculture and showcases the value and variety of this important asset in Michigan through innovation and “Michigan Made” products and services.
We believe in multiple bottom lines. The 3-P’s:
- People (all the citizens of the Michigan region)
- Planet (agriculture as a base of Michigan’s economy)
- Prosperity (improving the economic condition of all involved)
The Fair will focus attention on its Michigan heritage and the pioneering spirit of agriculture that contributes to the presentation of resources in Michigan and beyond.
A fundamental principle to the Fair’s effort is the belief that good things will happen if Michigan evolves through intentional, strategic actions based on quality and highlighting the assets and contributions the State makes to our society.
